Hello! These are great. My entire family loves Among Us and I am going to make them key chains with this pattern as a base – any chance you can post the pattern for the Crown? Or any other accoutrements?

        Thanks again!

Keychains sound so cool! I havnt gotten around to the hats yet, but I do plan on doing patterns for those soon. 🙂 If you want the crown I did put a very rough draft of the pattern in the comments here 🙂

Hello! I do not have any patterns for the accessories….yet 😛 but you can make a crown by chaining 16, and doing 2-3 rounds of 16 sc, then doing a round of *hdc, dc, hdc, sl st* x4. Hope that helps 😀

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way you could maybe do a video tutorial, I just started and I’m having a bit of trouble with it. I’m more of a visual learner if that makes sense :p

Hi Faith! If my math is correct 2.5 oz is over 50 grams of yarn which would be more than enough to make this project. I do not have the yarn you mentioned to weight it myself, but I’m confident you will have more than enough to finish 🙂 let me know if you have any other questions.

I’m using a thicker yarn and a bigger crochet hook to make a slightly bigger one. This is my birthday present to myself. Thank you for making this pattern!!!!!

There are some techniques that may be challenging, but not impossible for a beginner. I have linked tutorials for the more tricky techniques, the only one that doesn’t have a video tutorial would be the back post single crochet, but if you search for it on youtube, you will find tons of videos to show how to do that stitch. You could also substitute the back post stitch with a back loop stitch instead if you don’t mind the leg being more rounded. Hope that helps!

Really enjoying making these for my daughter and her friends!
What size do yours usually end up? Mine seem to be quite big. Using a 3.5mm crochet hook and DK wool.
    the kids love them regardless!!

thank you very much for the pattern 🙂

      Tiffany

I personally use DK weight yarn when I make em for myself with a 3.25 hook, because my tension tends to be much looser. So to compensate I use smaller tools and materials haha! The one I made with 3.5mm and ran weight were about 5-6 inches tall, while the Dk weight ones are about 4-5 inches. You can definitely play around with hook size and yarn weight to accommodate your tension and the desired size you want. Also make sure not to overstuff!!! you wanna keep the shape the yarn naturally makes, it should be an egg shape, overstuffing will add too much height and give it an oval shape.

Omg thank you so much for the free pattern
My kids play with their cousins online. And have asked me to make them some
Approximately how much yarn is needed per character?
I have some leftover yarn I want to use up

I use the Amigurumi join method, the tutorial for it is linked at the start of the pattern. 🙂
You could also just Glue it if you do not want to sew. But I would advise against that if giving it to a child or pet.

Hi! I’m a beginner and have never tried crocheting before but I wanted to make a larger size of this (approx 12 inch) plush version of this for my anniversary gift. How do I translate your pattern to accommodate a bigger plush?

Love this! Thank you for sharing your talent! I am attempting to make a smaller version of this to use as keychains, how should I decrease my number of stitches? (:

    • 90
      Tiffany

You could use the mini crewmate pattern in the accessories for a cute key chain. But if you wanted to use this one I supposed decreasing the yarn weight and using a smaller hook would be the easiest way. I would say if u wanted to use the same yarn, I would decrease each round by a multiple of 6. Except for the legs which I would decrease by 3 and the backpack starting chain by 2.

At the moment I do not have print outs available due to people stealing my patterns and reuploading them elsewhere as their own. Im hoping to be able to figure out a way to do printouts soon 🙂

I love this pattern so much, and I’ve made over 30 of them for my friends so far! I was thinking about selling the finished products of a slightly modified version of this pattern on my Etsy shop, and I just wanted to make sure that was okay. I can link any of your socials when I post it. Thanks so much!

Hello Helen! Yes there is, I was having issues with people stealing my patterns so I disabled settings that allowed people to copy/paste, screenshot, or print the pattern itself. I do plan on making PDF versions, I am not tech savvy so this is taking me awhile. I apologize for the inconveience that this causes my honest followers! Trust me, I hate having to do this. However, my site is able to be loaded on mobile devices if you need tot ake the pattern on the go!

Thank you so much for sharing your pattern! I crocheted a couple of crew mates for my son and he is really happy with them. He’s even lined up four more colors for me to crochet and accessories. 🙂

Hi. Just completed this pattern with bear ears. But my among us doesn’t stand. Does yours stand? If yes then where did I go wrong? Pls help?!!

    • 113
      Tiffany

No they don’t stand unless you put weights in the legs like Polymer beads or something. I don’t suggest doing that if giving it to a child tho. For pictures, I used toothpicks in the legs to let the ami lean on.
