Bongo Cat Bean

Special Techniques Used

Body

Using White Yarn

Round 1:Create a Magic Circle, 6sc, no join.(6 stitches)
Round 2:6 scinc.(12 stitches)
Round 3:*1 sc, 1 scinc* repeat * to * 5 more times.(18 stitches)
Round 4:*2sc, 1 scinc* repeat * to * 5 more times.(24 stitches)
Round 5-9:24 sc.(24 stitches)
Round 10:8 sc, 1 Bobble, 6 sc, 1 Bobble, 8 sc.(24 stitches)
Round 11-14:24 sc.(24 stitches)

Add 6mm safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8 so that they are positioned between the paws and not outside them. (They should have about 4-5 stitches between them).

Using black crochet thread, add a lil kawaii smile between the eyes. Do not sew the smile above the eyes, but inline with them or slightly lower.

Round 15:*2sc, 1 sc2tog* repeat * to * 5 more times.(18 stitches)
Round 16:*1 sc, 1 sc2tog* repeat * to * 5 more times. (12 stitches)
Round 17:6 sc2tog.(6 stitches)

Stuff firmly and use the Amigurumi Close Method

Ears

Make x2

Row 1:Ch 3, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc.(2 stitches)

Place ear on top of the head with the DC laying against the Body Piece. Sew to top of head slanting towards the magic circle, positioned between rounds 2-5.

Bongos

Make x2

Begin with Tan

Round 1:Create a Magic Circle, 6sc, sl st join.(6 stitches)
Round 2:Ch 1, 6 scinc, join.(12 stitches)

Do not cut tan, add brown.

Round 3:Ch 1, 12 sc blo, join.(12 stitches)

Do not cut brown, switch back to tan.

Round 4:Ch 1, 12 sc blo, join. (12 stitches)
Round 5:Ch 1, 12 sc, join.(12 stitches)
Round 6:Ch 1, *1 sc blo, sk 1 st* repeat * to * 5 more times, join. (6 stitches)

Cut both color strands leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff lightly and use the  Amigurumi Close Method. Do not cut tan tail yet. Using the brown strand, add the 4 vertical lines on the side of the bongo evenly spaced(about 3sc between each line).

After making both Bongos, sew the bongos to the bean below the paws. Sew the bongos together for added support.
