Pillar

Using White Yarn

Round 1:Create a Magic Circle, 6 sc, no join.(6 stitches)
Round 2:2 sc, 1 hdc, remove hook from loop. Attach red yarn to stitch 4, 1 sc in same stitch, 1 sc, 1 hdc, no join.(6 stitches)
Round 3:2 hdc with red, remove hook from loop, insert hook into white yarn loop, 3 hdc…..

Continue working HDC in a spiral alternating colors as you run out of workable stitches. Consult this video for a visual example HERE

Once your Pillar is about 10 cm tall, bind off the red by working 1 sc in red, and then sl st to cut yarn and pull through. Begin working with white in HDC’s until you reach the red slst, work 6 sc in white, cut and pull yarn all the way through.

Cut a pipe cleaner in half, bend the ends(to eliminate sharp points) to fit the length of your pillar. Insert Pipe Cleaner into your pillar and use the Amigurumi closing method.

Make 3 more to fit all the corners of your Gingerbread House.

*Note: You can use any colors! Make em match your decorations*

Attaching to Gingerbread House

Permanent Option:

If you wish for the decorations to always remain in the same position on your gingerbread house, you can Hot glue, Fabric Glue, or sew(with the matching yarn or with thread) onto your gingerbread house.

Removable Option:

If you wish for the decorations to be able to be moved to a new position on your gingerbread house, then you can add pins to be able to safely remove, and move, without worry of ruining the yarn on walls.
