“I vant to suck your blood” – Nibbles
Just kidding! Nibbles and other Vampire bats do not drink human blood (well maybe on the super rare occasions…like halloween maybe?); however, they do in fact live off the consumption of blood from other mammals; primarily livestock. They use their razor sharp teeth to cut their victim and then lap up the blood. Send shivers down your spine doesn’t it? While they sound scary, and look scary most of the time, they can be cute! They are also a very nurturing species to others of their kind, especially new mothers! Since Vampire bats can die if they do not drink blood within two days, bats that have fed will regurgitate blood and share with those that have not fed. (try not to regurgitate after reading that)
Currently their population is stable!

I would like to dedicate this pattern to my cousin Stacy, who passed away on the 7th. She loved Halloween so much she even had a Halloween wedding, and would have been married 6 yrs on the 31st. She was always fun to be around, and I will miss her.
