Crocheting with LoveCraft

Hey Crocheters!

I have some exciting news that I am finally able to share with you all. Recently I was contacted by lovecrafts.com, they wanted to sponsor me to create one of their FREE patterns available through their site. Some of you may already be familiar with this website, but if you haven’t already discovered them, I hope you check them out after reading this post. LoveCrafts provides a place to shop multiple yarn companies all from one place, they also have deals on a regular basis to get your favorite yarn at an even discounted price. My personal favorite yarn to purchase through LoveCraft is Paintbox yarn; they have a stunning range of colors, and the price per skein is unbeatable(especially during a sale).

While perusing LoveCraft’s library of free patterns, I found choosing one was hard as there were so many options. I knew that I wanted something outside of what I would normally create for myself. I also was determined to choose something that could be created with cotton yarn, as I am trying to decrease my use of plastic fibers. After checking off the boxes in the filter selection, I saw a gorgeous summer bag that I just had to make! Growing up I have always been a big fan of the movie “The Little Mermaid” and the crochet bag by Schachenmayr yarn company reminded me of the purse Ariel carries while exploring the shipwreck in the beginning of the film. Luckily for me, there was exactly enough of the color I needed available in the yarn required.

I received my yarn in the mail about a week later, and got to work! I did run into a few issues with the pattern itself, but I was able to figure out the changes I needed to make. I contacted LoveCraft to let them know of the errors in the pattern, and they were more than happy to reach out to the company with any notes for improvement I could provide them. I really appreciated this. I will also include those notes here in this post as well, for any of you that wish to create this bag for yourself!

I would like to thank LoveCraft for this amazing opportunity and hope to continue this partnership in the future! One day I hope to create a pattern for their library!

Feel free to message me if you need assistance with the pattern I featured today.

Happy Crafting!
